The heater is at an angle; isn't that weird?

Totally cruuushiiiiiin', totally not studyiiiiin'
(That was a song, fyi; à la Marshall [and increasingly, à la Cyril])

Totally diggin' sexy Betty Draper house slippers right now.
Why I am in love with "totally" tonight? Maybe 'cause I totally have a German lit exam tomorrow that I totally HATE. Maybe.

These were the first slippers that caught my eye:

Then the flood-gates opened and I was drowned in slipper delight.

Can you feel the motion motion commotion?

Part I - Ink Face

Fingers as place markers for notes in dark theatres seemed like a stroke of genius until...

I touched my face in said dark theatre and got home an hour later looking like this.
Now I always use pencil.

Part II - Lounge About

Part III - Pretty Loo

Sweaters & shirt: thrifted, skirt: H&M, boots: Ebay.

Part IV - Out Of The Loo

(Actually this is just in a different loo.)
Headband handmade by the ever lovely Caroline. Mentioned before for her generosity here and now here for her jewelry making talents!

Sweaters: thrifted, dress: thrifted in Switzerland (mistaken by Cyril's mother to be her mother's), scarf: street market in Italy, belt: Grandpa's, boots: Ebay, purse: Urban Outfitters, shades: H&M.

TENNIS.

Part V - English Bay

Cupcakes from Cupcakes on the beach? Hollah.

Part VI - Studies In Hair

Part VII - I Love The Ocean

It's supposed to be TWELVE degrees today. Oh baby.

Friday, 30 January 2009

We both brushed our hair to the side.

Things I kind of really would like. A lot. If shipping etc was not $56 extra.
All from Urban Outfitters (as Cyril and I were trolling their online sales last night). Sale-ing it is the only way I can afford UO, sorry guys.

And since that did not have a shred of clothing at all, and since I've been on such a loungewear kick lately, some loungers I wouldn't mind having at all.

If I wasn't going for dinner tonight, I would have been in my lounge shorts long ago. Cute, classy, comfy. Maybe I will have to have another lounge installment of What I Wore Today.

They were/are filming X-Men (?) on our campus and it would be funny and fitting if Buchanan Tower was used in the set because it looks so depressing and war-ish. There were girls outside one of the trailers on Wednesday. I guess they wanted to see the werewolf (there's a werewolf in it, right?).

Mi examen hoy fue muy mal.

As Stitch sits yonder in the corner, I sit and I write.

Shirt: H&M, silk shorts: thrifted, socks: H&M, slippers: knitted by my Granny.

What did I wear today? A skirt, these socks, boots and a soft, soft sweater. What did I do the second I got in the door (after eating lunch as I was famished, as I now appear to be, again)? LOUNGE CLOTHES, BAM.

In the second line, I am modeling "Le Tartuffe", in which I am meant to be half way through. Things I don't like about Le Tartuffe:
- looking up every second work in the lexique.
- looking up every second word after that in the dictionary.
- the fact that it's medieval literature.
- the fact that it's a play and plays are meant to be watched, not read, in my opinion.
- the fact that my prof thinks it's hilarious and I don't.
- it's one long, French, medieval, un-funny play.
Things I do like about Le Tartuffe:
- hm.

It feels like I want to eat the world today. And several of these preferably eaten like this.

Girl I'm so down when your love's not around.

After a week or so of: 1. going home and slumming it style-wise 2. being sick and slumming in my PJs mostly, I'm beginning to feel a bit of a slob. And this being the case, I also have no recent photos to share, even though the lounging sweater I'm wearing from sales at Old Navy is quite fabulous, maybe I will make a post in the future of lounge clothes. Which, quite frankly, are underrated.

A month and a half after being here and not having made very many friends, I'm beginning to miss the ones I left in Switzerland. And my little boys. And Cyril's gorgeous, spacious, gloriously white and old house.

My last few weeks in Switzerland went like this:

It's going to be strange to go back in a few years and see the little boy who's diaper I changed and who wasn't able to talk, much more grown up and going to school.

In the middle of telling me I would get my butt spanked.

Cyril said this morning when he sees a cat in our little courtyard he has the urge to open the door and let it come in to snuggle for a while.

Today is lovely and I will take advantage of it by taking pictures of our apartment and dressing up nice for a change.
