You're sure to fall in love with old Cape Cod

Dudes. I'm in the market for new specs. Suggestions?
It seems as though vintage frames on Etsy comprise solely of cateye and 80s. Very few people can carry off cateye frames and I am positively not one of them. I'm not a fan of them in general. So 80s frames by default then!

My parents are singing barbershop-style a cappella in the next room and it's adorable.

You remind me of peaches in summer.

Droopy eyes.
That's the thing about self-timers, you know? Bummer.

Granny's old blouse & skirt (which I majorly altered), thrifted necklace & heels.

I'm getting quite excited about the FRONT ROW tickets to Grizzly Bear Cyril got for us and Lydia in Vancouver. Um, yes, front row. I have never been to front row anything.
Am already contemplating what to wear. It's in October. I'm still thinking about what to wear.

Awesomely enough, La Blogotheque's Concerts A Emporter/Takeaway Shows are so beautiful and they always feature such amazing groups. I could roam that site for hours.

Connected to your network, always.

Oh hey, it's my super-dee-dooper cute boyfriend!
He visited the desert a few weekends ago. We beached and mojito-ed and thrifted and TV-ed and chilled. Perfect weekend.
He single-handedly found us an adorable apartment on Davie Street for August. I cannot wait to be there!

Cyril makes the best mojitos I've ever had.

Red wine & pizza.

Indian for Cyril's birthday. He is a big boy now.

BBQ!

What WE Wore Today:
(um yes it's posed, get over it)

On him: AA shirt & shorts, UO sneaks.
On her: thrifted dress & sandals.

August. Davie Street. Scandinavian. Downtown. BEACH.
& Time Off!

Sweet Caroline, BA BA BA.

Granny's old blouse, Garage jeans, thrifted heels & necklace, watch from my Granny too.

I ventured into boyfriend-jean-territory a few days ago. Though I still need lessons on how to appropriately roll my jeans up to look effortlessly messy, I felt totally chic in this outfit. Heels to work, finally.

Well dudes & dudettes, I just finished a 12-hour work day, so I'm out.

"Too bad that you're not as smart as you thought you were in the first place."

Quote from Doug & The Slugs Too Bad.

Hey Blogland, s'up?

What I wore a few days ago:
My dad's old Doug & The Slugs tshirt, thrifted and altered skirt, thrifted belt & shoes.

(Fun fact that is mandatory when I say this shirt was my dad's: apparently D&TS have a song called "Pretty Man" or "Beautiful Man" or something and when my dad was at one of their shows and they sang that song, Doug reached down and ruffled my dad's hair. I love that story because I remember how my dad looked so happy and nostalgic when he told me)

Would you please lay your eyes on those jewels of footwear?! A) Gorgeous. B) Fit like a miracle. C) Thrifted in my tiny town from a church charity shop I can only get to during my lunch break. D) Hollah.
The thrift store in question is a shoe gold-mine. That is sweet, sweet music to the ears. Or a sight for sore eyes, however you want to shake it. Bottom line: it is paradise.

He rolled over and that was that.

Worst. Blogger. Ever.

Here's my excuse:
I have literally stopped trying to look nice for work.
I literally never look nice anymore because I literally work SEVEN DAYS A WEEK.
Isn't this a sad world? Ideally, I should have a load of cash to console me, but even that isn't working so well. Yet.

So, from happier times, an outfit that I wore on a day off (which is in fact a lie, because not 5 minutes after I took this, I went to photograph something for the newspaper) :

All but earrings (present from Mum) are thrifted.
